To receive the Five Star Wealth Manager award, awarded annually by Texas Monthly Magazine, a wealth manager must satisfy 10 objective eligibility and evaluation criteria that are associated with wealth managers who provide quality services to their clients.
Factors considered include assets under management and client retention rate. Candidates also undergo a thorough regulatory and complaint review.
D Magazine’s award is presented annually to leading wealth management firms in the Dallas area. D Magazine surveys every Dallas-Fort Worth chapter of the Financial Planning Association, Chartered Financial Analyst Institute, and the Investments and Wealth Institute to tell them about their practices. The discovery process yielded a list of final contenders.
The finalists were selected based on a number of criteria, including the requirement that firms must hold themselves out as fiduciaries for their clients and provide them with a written disclosure. A panel of esteemed local wealth managers reviewed the final list.
Most significantly, this is the 10th year in a row that GWA has been recognized by D Magazine as the Top Wealth Manager in the region.
