Aug 2023

We are pleased to announce that its client Mr. Fire Protection, LLC has merged with SuperHero Fire Protection (a portfolio company of Hidden Harbor Capital Partners). The acquisition closed on August 7, 2023.

Mr. Fire Protection (MFP), located in Houston, Texas, is a fire protection services company providing professional consultation, estimation, design, installation, purchasing, project management, repair and maintenance of fire sprinkler systems. The company services both commercial and residential real estate clients and provides clients with any fire protection service they might need.

The company prides itself on providing quality services that meet the needs of its clients. The technicians at MFP are trained and certified to perform all types of fire protection services.

The company also offers 24-hour emergency services, ensuring that clients can get the help they need whenever they need it. Its commitment to quality and safety makes MFP an ideal choice for businesses and homeowners who need reliable fire protection services.

Headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia (with multiple locations throughout the Southeastern and MidAtlantic regions), SuperHero Fire Protection (SuperHero) was founded in 2012 by a group of industry veterans who shared a vision for building a full-service customer and employee-oriented fire protection business.

The company’s focus began in the design and installation of fire sprinkler and fire alarm systems, primarily for large multifamily apartment developers and managers throughout Georgia. SuperHero rapidly expanded over the following years, particularly through an extension of offerings into the inspection, service, and monitoring space.

Today, SuperHero is one of the largest fire sprinkler and fire alarm installation providers in Georgia, with additional operations across the Southeast and MidAtlantic, and an offering portfolio which spans design, installation, inspection, service, and repair across fire sprinklers, alarms, low voltage systems, extinguishers, hydrants, and backflow preventers.

True to its founding objectives, SuperHero remains an employer of choice across its multiple office locations, and prides itself in the strength of customer relationships.

Hidden Harbor Capital Partners (HHCP), located in Boca Raton, Florida, is a private equity firm which helps create business success stories by building teams focused on execution. HHCP believes that great companies are built on a strong group of people as their foundation, and that businesses succeed when they are intensely focused on executing a small set of well-defined objectives.

HHCP currently manages over $800 million of equity capital and is investing out of its second fund, a $450 million vehicle. To learn more, visit and their page on LinkedIn.

“Mr. Fire Protection has found the perfect match in our merger with SuperHero Fire Protection. This has been a long but rewarding journey, where our hard work and sacrifices have turned into blessings, and we are honored to work with a business that holds our same ambition for growth while maintaining a personal approach,” said Rafael Plata, President of Mr. Fire Protection.

“A huge thank you to SuperHero for this opportunity to work together and to Generational Equity for making it happen.”

“We are thrilled to welcome Mr. Fire Protection into the SuperHero family of fire protection services companies and look forward to a great partnership and supporting their growth in Texas,” said Josh Stephens, CEO of SuperHero Fire Protection.

Generational Equity Executive Managing Director of M&A – Central Region, Michael Goss, and his team, led by Vice President, M&A, Jacob Mangalath, successfully worked on the merger. Executive Managing Director Bill Kushnir established the original relationship with MFP.

“Mr. Fire Protection is a perfect fit for the SuperHero platform (and not just because of its name). From the beginning, we saw a great cultural fit and an incredible opportunity for collaboration and growth. I’m very excited to see what the future holds for them,” said Mangalath.
