EN Engineering LLC invested in Generational Equity client Texas Utility Engineering Inc. on December 14, 2018.

Texas Utility Engineering (TXUE), based in San Antonio, offers comprehensive telecommunications engineering, utility pole inspection and electric distribution engineering services. All engineering services are performed under professional engineer review and seal.

The company serves electric distribution and telecommunications customers in the broader regions of Central and South Texas.

“We are thrilled to be joining a growth-oriented firm like EN Engineering,” said TXUE founder David Evans.

“The company has a very broad base of engineering and consulting capabilities, which will enable our organization to expand the breadth of value-added services we offer to our clients.”

EN Engineering is a leading national engineering, consulting, and automation services firm based in Warrenville, Illinois. The company serves utilities, midstream and downstream energy companies, and industrial customers from 22 locations across the United States.

In combination with TXUE, EN Engineering’s Utilities practice now has more than 650 employees offering a full complement of gas distribution and electric transmission and distribution services.

“This partnership represents an exciting expansion for our Utilities practice,” said EN Engineering CEO Steve Knowles.

“TXUE is a leading expert on all aspects of electric distribution poles in Central and South Texas, with the ability to provide unmatched value to its utility and telecom customers. Texas is one of the fastest growing states, and we are excited about working together with the strong team at TXUE as they look to further expand in the region.”

Generational Equity Senior Managing Director Terry Mackin successfully closed the deal, and Senior Managing Director Joe Van Voorhis established the initial relationship with TXUE.

“Our clients were very focused on what they were looking for in an acquirer for TXUE,” said Mackin.

“And EN Engineering and their management team clearly fit that focus.”

Generational Equity is committed to supporting clients in the engineering industry and beyond with their exit strategies, guiding them towards transactions that achieve their professional and personal goals.
