We are pleased to share the sale of our client, Phoenix America, Inc., to discoverIE Group plc. The acquisition closed October 13, 2020 and details were not disclosed.
Located in Ft. Wayne, Indiana, Phoenix America is an established manufacturing firm specializing in the design, engineering, and manufacture of customized magnetic sensors and decoders used in motion control systems in a variety of industries.
Phoenix is recognized as a leading developer and provider of magnetic encoder and magnetic sensor solutions through developing robust encoder packaging, as well as custom materials, thus ensuring a complete magnetic solution from a single engineering-driven organization.
discoverIE Group plc, (LSE: DSCV) is an international group of businesses that designs, manufactures and supplies highly differentiated, innovative components for electronics applications.
The Group provides application-specific components to original equipment manufacturers internationally, focusing on industries including renewable energy, transportation, medical and industrial & connectivity. The Group employs 4,400 people and its principal operating units are located in Continental Europe, the UK, China, Sri Lanka, India and North America.
Generational Capital Markets Managing Director Mergers & Acquisitions, Phil Pizzurro, with support from Vice President Mergers & Acquisitions, Andre Farahmandi, successfully closed the deal. Executive Managing Director Thomas Braun established the initial relationship with Phoenix America.
