We are pleased to share the sale of our client Wheat Ridge Cyclery to a Private Investor. The transaction closed April 23, 2021.

Located in Wheat Ridge, Colorado, Wheat Ridge Cyclery (WRC) is known as “Colorado’s destination bicycle shop”. Founded in 1973, WRC focuses on bicycle sales, accessory & part sales, clothing, and service. WRC targets individual consumers throughout the United States, but approximately 95% of revenue comes from the Denver Metro Area.

As one of the leading cycling shops in Colorado, WRC maintains a base of approximately 75,000 customers and over 60% of revenue comes from recurring customers. Overall, WRC’s established customer base is a strong asset that contributes to stability and presents opportunities for revenue growth under its new owner.

Generational Equity Executive Managing Director of M&A – Western Region, Stephen Crisham, and his team, led by Senior M&A Advisor, Donald Beezley, supported by Senior Vice President, Chad Comroe, successfully closed the transaction. Executive Managing Director Tom Braun established the initial relationship with WRC.

“It’s so satisfying to see a great business, particularly a marquee brand like Wheat Ridge Cyclery with a great family tradition, transfer successfully to new ownership that shares that same vision for excellence and taking the business into the future, adding to its legacy,” said Beezley.
